ABOUT

Collin Morrison is a cinematographer and camera operator based in Vancouver BC. Commercially Collin has shot for brands including Canon, Michelin, Canadian Tire and Shopify. He was the DOP for "The Wrestlers" on Viceland and the CBC show “Scout and the Gumboot Kids” for which he won a 2018 and 2019 Leo award for cinematography. His feature film work as a cinematographer includes the documentary “Lost in the Shuffle” “Fall Back Down” and “Andie the Great.” As a camera operator Collin has been the “A” camera operator on over 20 feature films and worked on various series filmed in Vancouver. He currently operates on the CBS series “Fire Country.”

With a strong documentary background Collin has shot out of helicopters over the Amazon, along seafloor off the coast of Japan and from backs of trucks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Collin has traversed the the globe and become comfortable at shooting in any environment. Starting his career in the lighting department he can still can find himself at home in a studio, lighting anything from large sets to miniatures for stopmotion. He is a member of IATSE local 669 as a camera operator and is American and Canadian citizen.
